Saddleback Escape is thoughtfully designed to blend rustic aesthetics with modern amenities. The open concept living area seamlessly connects to the dining room and fully stocked kitchen, creating a welcoming space to gather with family and friends. Large windows flood the space with natural light and provide stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Every detail of this home is curated to create a cozy yet elevated retreat, offering the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure. -Living Area- The living room is an inviting area where guests can unwind. It features a large smart TV, and a propane freestanding stove fireplace set against a striking stone backdrop. The room’s open layout and abundant natural light make it an ideal space for relaxation or entertaining. -Kitchen & Dining- The fully stocked kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, including spices, olive oil, and a selection of teas, coffee, creamer, and sugars. The open design allows for easy interaction with guests while cooking, and the adjacent dining area provides a charming space to enjoy meals together. With its modern appliances and thoughtful touches, the kitchen ensures a seamless culinary experience. -Bedrooms & Bathrooms- The primary bedroom is a luxurious retreat with a California king bed, a cozy reading nook, and ample storage in the large closet and dresser. The ensuite bathroom features a spa-like steam shower, and the private patio offers a tranquil spot to watch the sunset. The second bedroom also has a California king bed, while the third bedroom includes a queen bed, and both have large closets and dressers as well. Both share a bathroom with a shower-tub combo located just off the hallway. -Game Room- The converted garage game room is a lively space designed for fun and entertainment. With large sliding glass doors that open up to the outdoor dining area, indoor-outdoor living is a breeze. It features a smart TV and a comfortable lounge area perfect for movie nights or catching up on your favorite shows. Guests can enjoy a competitive game of ping pong or gather around the game/poker table for a classic card game or a board game. For a touch of nostalgia, a free-to-play Pac-Man arcade game is available, offering endless hours of retro gaming fun. The patio area, easily accessed through the game room sliding glass doors, features an outdoor dining table, and an Adirondack chair lounge area under string lights, and a gas BBQ for al fresco meals. Outdoor games like bocce ball and giant Jenga add to the fun, making it easy to create lasting memories. -Surrounding Area- Saddleback Escape is ideally situated for exploring the wonders of Joshua Tree. Despite its remote setting, the home is just a short drive from Joshua Tree National Park and the charming town of Joshua Tree. -Amenity List- Your stay comes complete with every amenity you’ll need for a fun and relaxing escape: ► Incredible converted sealine container pool (please note there is an extra fee to heat pool in the cooler months, no fee to heat the hot tub!) ► Hot tub ► Game room with ping pong, Pac-man arcade game (free to play), smart TV, poker and tons of board games ► Outdoor daybed and hammock ► 2 outdoor showers ► Gas fire pit ► Gas BBQ ► Fully stocked kitchen with tons of spices, olive oil, utensils & cookware ► Drip coffee machine & French press ► Coffee provided, as well as a variety of sugar, creamer & a variety of tea ► Smart TV in the living room and game room ► Yoga mats ► Bocce ball & giant Jenga ► Central heating and air conditioning in house, mini split HVAC in game room ► Starlink Zoom-ready Wi-Fi, perfect for working from home The entire property is yours to enjoy! Please note that the closet in the garage is being used for storage for supplies for the rental that is locked to guests. Please note that the last 0.3 miles to the home is a dirt road, so please take it slow. The dirt roads are well maintained, and a four-wheel drive car is not necessary, but please note that the dirt road conditions vary and may have some bumps and ruts, particularly after rainstorms. A personal vehicle is necessary; rideshare apps are not guaranteed in this area. -Pool Heating Fee- If you’d like the pool heated to 84°F, please let us know at least 24 hours before arrival. A daily fee applies due to high fuel costs. If heating for multiple days, days must be consecutive. Pool heating is usually not needed from May through September. ► May through September - $100/night if needed ► October & April - $100/night ► November through March - $150/night *No fee to heat the hot tub!* -Pool and Hot Tub Service- The pool and hot tub are serviced Monday & Thursday, approximately between 11am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard. -Dogs- We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed. -Heating & Air Conditioning- There is central heating and air conditioning in the main living areas, and ductless mini split heating and air conditioning in the game room. -Local Experiences: Relax, Adventure, Connect- We’ve handpicked an incredible selection of local vendors to enhance your Joshua Tree stay, offering a mix of relaxation, adventure, and everything in between. Many services can come directly to the house, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable stay! -Desert Wildlife & Safety Tips- The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group.
