The private saltwater lap pool stretches alongside open desert views, offering a refreshing place to cool off during warm days, with seasonal heating available during cooler months. Nearby, the hot tub invites long evening soaks beneath the stars, while the outdoor shower provides a refreshing rinse after swimming or exploring the desert trails. A shaded outdoor dining area creates a relaxed gathering space for meals and conversation, and comfortable lounge seating looks out over sweeping desert, mountain, and valley views. Spacious countertops and modern appliances make cooking easy and enjoyable, while the open layout keeps the kitchen connected to the dining and living spaces so everyone can gather comfortably. Outdoor dining is also available, allowing guests to enjoy meals al fresco in the fresh desert air with sweeping views and golden sunset light. -Bedrooms & Bathrooms- The home comfortably sleeps up to six guests across thoughtfully designed bedrooms that feel like peaceful private retreats. Each bedroom features memory foam mattresses, high-quality linens, room-darkening shades, and calming décor that supports deep rest after full desert days. Large windows bring in soft desert light and views of the surrounding landscape, while generous storage and extra pillows and blankets provide added comfort. The bathrooms are clean, modern, and spa-inspired, offering a relaxing environment to refresh and recharge. Walk-in showers, natural materials, and a calm design aesthetic continue the home's tranquil atmosphere throughout. -Surrounding Area- The home is located in Yucca Valley in the heart of Southern California’s high desert, an area known for its dramatic landscapes, creative community, and endless outdoor exploration. Just a short drive away, Joshua Tree National Park offers some of the most iconic desert scenery in the world - towering rock formations, winding hiking trails, and forests of sculptural Joshua Trees. Visitors can spend their days hiking, rock climbing, photographing the landscape, or simply enjoying the vast quiet beauty of the park. The nearby towns of Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley, and Pioneertown add to the area's charm with local cafés, art galleries, boutique shops, and live music venues. The high desert has long attracted artists, musicians, and nature lovers, creating a unique blend of creativity and wilderness. Please note that there is a garage used for housekeeping and property supplies and an owner's guest casita onsite. They are both vacant and locked, and not accessible to guests. A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed. The home is in a remote location, and the last 0.6 miles are dirt roads, so please take it slow. The dirt roads are maintained, and a four-wheel drive car is not necessary, but please note that the dirt roads may have ruts, particularly after rainstorms. -No Microwave or TV- Please note that this home is intentionally designed for a simpler, more unplugged experience. As part of that design, there is no microwave or television in the space. Meals can easily be reheated using the oven or stovetop. If you’re looking for a place to disconnect and enjoy a quieter stay, you’ll feel right at home here. Please make sure you’re comfortable with these arrangements before booking. -Tesla EV Charger- Please note that we have a Tesla EV Charger - you will need an adapter for non-Tesla vehicles. -Firewood- We do not provide firewood for the wood burning fireplace, if you'd like to enjoy the fireplace, we recommend picking up bundles of firewood at a local grocery store. Please only use firewood and fire starters, do not use lighter fluid. -Pool Heating Fee- Should you wish to have the pool heated to 85 degrees, please notify us in advance of your arrival as there will be a supplemental charge per day for this service due to high fuel costs in this area. If you'd like the pool heated for multiple days, we ask that days be consecutive to conserve energy, thank you! Pool heating is not usually necessary May through September. Please note that we will need at least 24 hours' notice to heat the pool. ► $300 per night During the winter months, please be aware that colder outdoor temperatures may cause the pool to feel cooler than its maintained temperature of 85°F. We kindly ask that you ensure this temperature meets your comfort level before submitting a request, as refunds cannot be issued on this basis. -Hot Tub Heating- No fee to heat the hot tub! -Hot Tub Cover- Please ensure the hot tub cover is always replaced and secured with the provided weights or straps when it’s not in use. The cover prevents desert critters from falling into the water, keeping both the wildlife safe and the tubs clean. Additionally, without the cover, the hot tub cannot maintain its temperature, and it can take hours or even days to heat back up to 104°F. -Pool and Hot Tub Service- The pool and hot tub are serviced Thursday, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard. -Pet Policy- We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $1000. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed. -Local Experiences- We’ve handpicked an incredible selection of local vendors to enhance your Joshua Tree stay, offering a mix of relaxation, adventure, and everything in between. Whether you’re seeking relaxation with sound baths, yoga sessions, meditation guides, in-home massages, facials, aromatherapy or the convenience of a personal chef of caterer, you'll find options to elevate your experience. For thrill-seekers, explore rock climbing adventures, dune buggy rides, or horseback riding. Other unique experiences include guided stargazing tours under the breathtaking desert sky or guided hikes accompanied by mini donkeys! All vendor details are available in our guidebook upon booking, making it easy to craft your ideal getaway. Many services can come directly to the house, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable stay! -Wildlife & Safety- The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert. -Security Cameras- There are front-facing exterior security cameras monitoring the driveway and entry area for safety and occupancy verification. There are no cameras facing private areas, including the backyard, pool area, or inside the home.
